Recipe ingredients

  • 4, 4 ounces, boneless pork chops, 3/4 inch thick
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Chunky applesauce with cinnamon

How to make topped chops

  • Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Brush chops lightly with oil and brown on both sides, turning once, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle pepper over the chops.
  • Add broth, lemon juice and chunky applesauce with cinnamon.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Cover and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
